Marching Band
The 230+ member Warrior Marching Band is the most visible part of the North Cobb Band Program. Performances include: all home and away football games, pep rallies, select local parades, local and regional competitions, and other community events. The Marching Band, including Color Guard, begins rehearsing in the summer and continues through football season.
The Marching Band is an extracurricular activity open to any current 9th through 12th grade band student. Because the activity is a direct product of the skills that are developed within the band curriculum, only students currently enrolled in a band class are eligible to march, with the exception of Color Guard.
Membership of the Marching Band requires dedication, maximum effort and involvement in all aspects of marching and music performance. The full Marching Band rehearses on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. during the season with Monday rehearsals through the month of September (but not limited to). The annual Family Day Showcase, occasional rehearsals, and all competitions are held on Saturdays throughout the season.
The Warrior Marching Band has been the recipient of multiple Grand Championship awards on the local and regional level, consistent superior ratings, and includes BOA finalist placements. The group has been a pillar for the Acworth/Kennesaw community through many local parade performances and other community events.
SUPPORT THE BAND
The North Cobb High School Band Booster organization includes a number of committees that help support the band program. Assistance with the committees is almost always needed, so we are constantly looking for more hands and minds to help out year-round, not just during marching season. Please feel free to contact us if you’d like to learn more or offer your support.
