Mr. Williams,
a lifelong resident of Cobb County, Georgia, received his Bachelor of Science
Degree in Music Education from Jacksonville State
University. After graduation, he returned to Cobb County to teach high
school music. His tenure has included three years at F.T. Wills High School
and seven years at Pebblebrook High School. Since 1996, he has served as the
Director of Bands at North Cobb High School, where in 2006 he directed
the North Cobb Wind Symphony performance at the
Georgia Music Educators
Association
(GMEA) In-Service Conference in Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. Williams earned his
Master of Music Education Degree from Jacksonville State University in 1991.
He served as GMEA District 12 Chairman for five years, District 12 Festival
Chair for seven years, and District 12 Honor Band Chair for two years. Mr.
Williams also serves as a judge for both
Drum Corps International
and
Bands of America.
Mr. Williams has been selected as Cobb County Teacher of the Year twice (1994, 2006) and has been named
in Who's Who
Among America's Teachers
five times. He is a member of
Phi Beta Mu, the
Music
Educators National Conference, the Georgia Music Educators Association, the
National Band Association,
Omicron Delta
Kappa, and
Sigma Nu Fraternity
(Iota Lambda).
Mr. Williams
resides in Cobb County with his wife Lisa and son Austin.
